Shift: 3rd Shift (11pm – 7am)

Summary:
In Hanover, PA we produce Rings and Seals for the Aerospace and Industrial markets. Extreme product range fragmentation, complex product design, very high-quality standards, and traceability requirements are the peculiarity of our Business Unit. The Aerospace Business Unit is responsible for Aerospace applications with a global responsibility for Sales, Manufacturing, Business development, Product, and Process Development. Our business is fully customer focused, with products specifically designed for an engine / airframe application and then produced in small quantities and small lots on highly flexible equipment. Extreme product range fragmentation, complex product design, very high-quality standards and traceability requirements are the peculiarity of our Business Unit. Please note: Due to the nature of the business, the candidate must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities Include but Not Limited to:

  • Operate a variety of set up and operate machines in the Shaft Seal department.
  • Set-up and operate Lapping Room equipment.
  • Perform operations on a wide variety of aerospace and industrial special production work in various size lots including:
  • milling, turning, boring, and abrasive machining procedures.
  • Move from operation to operation.
  • Work from verbal and written instructions, prints, sketches, and process sheets. etc.
  • Use precision measuring instruments to assure conformance to known standards.
  • Perform operator capable lubrication and service as needed.
  • Transport items and products.
  • Make minor adjustments, set-ups performed by others.
  • Set-ups such as placing and blocking items and products on magnetic surfaces etc., are expected to be performed by operators.
  • Maintain records and paperwork.
  • Ensure work areas are kept in a neat, safe, clean, and orderly fashion.
  • Notify supervision of problems or difficulties.


Requirements:

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent experience working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Due to the nature of the work, US citizenship is required.
  • Knowledge of and able to read and understand blueprints preferred.
  • Knowledge of measurement equipment such as gauges and mics.
  • Position available for 3rd Shift (11pm – 7am).
  • All hourly employees will be part of the United Steelworkers Union (USW).
