Creative Strategy Director

We are seeking an innovative and experienced Creative Strategy Director to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with a passion for creativity and a strong strategic mindset. You will be responsible for developing and executing creative strategies that align with our clients’ business objectives and drive measurable results. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, creative expertise, and leadership abilities to shape and steer the creative vision of our agency.


Here’s what you’ll be doing:


Strategic Leadership:

  Develop and lead the overarching creative strategy for digital and performance marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with client business goals and market trends.

  Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic direction and identify opportunities for innovation.

  Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including account management, media planning, analytics, and development, to ensure cohesive and integrated campaign execution.

 

Creative Development:

  Drive the ideation and conceptualization of innovative and engaging content that resonates with the target audience across various digital platforms.

  Oversee the development of campaign concepts, messaging frameworks, and visual elements, ensuring they are on-brand and strategically sound.

  Guide the creative team through the entire creative process, from brainstorming and storyboarding to final execution, maintaining high standards of creativity and quality.

 

Tactical Creative Responsibilities:

       UGC

o   Recruit creators that align to a client brand brief and needs

o   Build new storyboards and scripts that help drive sales for clients leveraging both important speaking points and visuals

o   Clearly communicate to your designer how to successfully execute on your creative brief and bring the vision to life.

o   Edit and/or work with our editing team to create multiple variations of ads for creative testing including scene sequencing and post-production graphical overlays

       Non-UGC:

o   Develop new concepts for ads in post-production including both static and visual creative opportunities

o   Clearly communicate with the design team to successfully execute on your creative brief and bring the vision to life.

o   Help clients develop new ideas for studio shoots that can perform well on paid social

 

Performance Optimization:

 Utilize data analytics tools to track and measure the effectiveness of creative strategies and campaigns, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement.

 Implement A/B testing, multivariate testing, and other performance optimization techniques to refine creative executions and maximize ROI.

  Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continually enhance the agency’s creative capabilities.

 

Client Engagement:

  Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients, acting as a strategic partner and advisor on all creative matters.

  Lead client presentations, articulating the strategic rationale behind creative concepts and demonstrating how they align with business objectives.

  Provide ongoing consultation and support to clients, addressing their feedback, concerns, and evolving needs with agility and expertise.

 

Team Management:

  Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of creative professionals, fostering a collaborative, inclusive, and innovative work environment.

   Manage the allocation of creative resources, ensuring the team is adequately equipped to meet project deadlines and deliver exceptional work.

   Facilitate professional development opportunities for team members, encouraging continuous learning and growth.



Here's what you'll have:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in a creative strategy role within a digital and performance marketing agency or similar environment.
  • Proven track record of developing and executing successful creative strategies that drive measurable results across digital channels.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including programmatic, paid social, PPC, email, SEO, and affiliate marketing.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a creative team.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and persuasively.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and performance optimization techniques.
  • Creative thinker with a passion for innovation and a keen eye for detail.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

NYC Salary Range: $110K-$130K


Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications
