The Job:Â Â
Travel to various service calls to meet customers in their residence and advise on repair, maintenance or purchase of a new door. Â
Assemble mechanical components or machine parts.Â
Adjust equipment to ensure optimal performance.Â
Order replacement parts.Â
Repair or replace worn or broken door parts using hand tools.Â
Disassemble equipment for maintenance or repair.Â
Remove parts or components from equipment.Â
Install hardware or other interior fixtures.Â
Run wiring to connect equipment.Â
Lubricate equipment to allow proper functioning.Â
Test mechanical equipment to ensure its functioning properly.Â
Document operational activitiesÂ
Collect payments for goods or servicesÂ

Basic Requirements:Â Â

Able to bend, climb, kneel and stand for long periodsÂ
Physically able to lift 75lbsÂ
Valid driverâs license for at least 3 years with a clean driving recordâŻÂ
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test (not including THC) and criminal background checkâŻÂ
Knowledge of basic software such as navigation apps, Google etc as well as tablet and computer use.Â
Basic knowledge of hand tools Â
GED or HS diploma not required, however reading skills as well as basic math skills (measurements, payments) are required. Â

The Journey of an Apprentice Technician:Â Â
Learn the ins and out of the job with our best technicians during apprenticeship.Â
After a successful apprenticeship, you will receive $1,000 bonus and finish a 4 week training at the A1 Training Academy in Phoenix, AZ. Â
A1 covers flights and accommodations for the duration of your training in Phoenix. (Also, all apprenticeship/training weeks are paid at $1,000/week)Â
Once you complete training, you will receive an additional $1,000 bonus, and graduate to a junior technician. You will perform your duties as a technician in and around your market. Boom!Â

Interview Process:âŻâŻÂ
Our interview process is not long, but itâs thorough. We want to make sure that each person who joins the team is the right fit for A1. And that we are the right fit for you!âŻÂ
After we review your application, you will be contacted for an interview with a recruiter if we want to know more. Plan on up to 45 minutes.âŻÂ
Next step is an onsite interview with the Hiring Manager. Plan on approximately 60 minutes.âŻÂ
Last step is when the fun begins: you will be invited to ride along with one of our technicians so you can see what life at A1 is really like. Plan on a full day.âŻÂ
Compensation Philosophy:âŻâŻÂ
The technician role is 100% commission. There is a clear path to a six figure income in the first year. There is NO CAP on commissions.
Prior to becoming a junior technician:
All apprenticeship/training weeks are paid at $1,000/week
After a successful apprenticeship, you will receive $1,000 bonus and finish a 4 week training at the A1 Training Academy in Phoenix, AZ. Â
