The Engineering Center for Academic Success (ECAS) serves the College of Engineering community by providing learning support and holistic academic-oriented support services to students, by managing the administrative processes of the Scholastic Standing Committee (SSC) to uphold the academic standards and guidelines of the College as defined in the College Bulletin, and by managing the Honor Council process to maintain ethical conduct within the College community.
The ECAS Academic Coach provides holistic academic-oriented services to an assigned group of undergraduate students in collaboration with each student's departmental or Engineering Advising Center (EAC) advisor. The primary group of students served by the ECAS Academic Coach are those students reinstated by the SSC with academic conditions, but this person also provides assistance to other groups of students including those from underrepresented populations who may experience academic barriers, transfer students, and students referred by faculty, academic advisors, and CARE Center staff.
