Accounts Receivable Representative

The Accounts Receivable Representative will be responsible for financial customer services for EBSCO Information Services accounts. Responsibilities include collections, cash management, posting payments, balancing, reconciliations, customized reporting and maintaining customer master records related to billing, invoicing, and tax.


  • This team member will join collaborative efforts with EBSCO offices around the world via phone and email to fulfill business needs related to accounting and budgeting.
  • The ideal team member will exhibit excellent data entry and computer skills, superior open communication, and people skills. The team member must possess the ability to analyze complex information and use common sense and logic together with training and experience to take a disciplined, fact-based approach to making decisions.
  • This team member must have a positive attitude, be customer-focused, adapt quickly and pleasantly to change, challenge self and others to improve continuously, and will work well under pressure in a team environment. This person must be organized and have the ability to deliver results in a complex, fast-changing environment.
  • All EBSCO team members are expected to be professional, collaborative, respectful, and trustworthy.
  • Due to the COVID pandemic, all EBSCO team members are required to be flexible as it relates to their working environment. Team members may be asked to work remotely or within the office by their leadership team.


Basic Qualifications:

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years experience in accounts receivable or accounting
  • 2 years experience using Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and Word or similar applications
  • Must have access to high-speed internet at home due to the potential remote setting of this position


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in business-to-business collections, payment processing, payment posting or customer service
  • Experience using SAP accounting software
  • Experience with multiple currencies and exchange rates
  • High school, college, or other courses in accounting or finance
  • Spanish language skills
  • French language skills


Target Annual Salary Range: $32,050- $45,785. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location.
