Essential Functions

The Admissions Coordinator will ensure a timely, accurate flow of information regarding all aspects of the BYU Law admission process to potential applicants, applicants, and admitted students and to the Director and Dean of Admissions.

The Admissions Coordinator will assist with recruitment efforts by being a professional, engaging point of contact and by planning and executing events and assisting with law fairs and other recruiting activities as assigned.

In addition, the Admissions Coordinator will ensure that the Director and Dean of Admissions receive appropriate administrative support, collect, analyze, and summarize data for various reports and surveys, including the American Bar Association (ABA) Annual Questionnaire, ABA Site Evaluation Questionnaire, university Academic Unit Review, U.S. News Survey for Ranking, and other non-student surveys.

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • 2 years of related work experience, including use of third-party software/database management

Preferred:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 2+ years of related work experience, including use of third-party software/database management.

  • Commitment to the mission and aims of BYU Law School and Brigham Young University
  • Demonstrated judgment, discretion, and professionalism; ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills—required
  • Excellent interpersonal skills—required
  • Excellent organizational skills— required
  • Knowledge of basic Excel functions—required
  • Knowledge of how to use the LSAC ACES and/or UNITE database or experience with learning to manage and run reports using 3rd party software
  • Prior experience planning and executing events for large groups
  • Ability to gather statistical data and generate reports
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate effectively
  • Experience with Google mail, calendar, drive and surveys
  • Experience with email marketing platforms
  • Experience with SLATE or other CRM platforms
  • Responsiveness to feedback on work performance
  • Track record of consistently meeting deadlines

Employee Class: 3/4 Time (28 hour)

Work Location: Provo Campus

Environment: General office or other equivalently good environment

Pay Level: 48

Approximate Starting Salary: $18.50 - $24.00/ hour
