Though many of our roles are assigned to a particular office location, most are a hybrid of remote and in-person work.Job BriefAdvisor360 team is seeking a Database Administrator for Microsoft SQL Server with a strong operational background to build and enhance databases in a hybrid-cloud environment. This role will require a balance of tactical and strategic knowledge, ranging from the ability to deep-dive customer impacting issues in real-time to driving long-term data strategy and implementation.Advisor360 specializes in building, delivering, and integrating technology for wealth managers. Our comprehensive platform offers a unified approach to managing wealth, delivering a connected experience to advisors and their clients.Here’s What You’ll Do:• Responsible for day-to-day activities regarding the upkeep and availability of all database servers in the environment including lower environments.• Serve as SME (subject matter expert) for Microsoft SQL Server.• Build and report on SQL environment performance and availability metrics and take appropriate actions to implement best practices and optimize performance.• Assist in the technical analysis and design for current and future projects.• Identify patterns that impact the performance, durability, reliability, or availability of our databases and eliminate them through the application of automation or other technical innovation.• Establish and deliver on a long-term technical vision for overall data strategy, working alongside service teams to eliminate a monolithic application and shift to microservices.• Lead and document database best practices for other cross-functional team members.• Participate in code reviews and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.• Stay up to date with the latest trends and technologies, bringing new ideas and approaches to the teams.What You Bring to the Table:• 10+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, or similar role.• 10+ years of experience with RDBMS systems (examples: MS SQL, PostgreSQL, MySQL).• 10+ years of leading database design and architecture (design patterns, reliability, scaling, and performance).• 5+ years of experience in one of the following languages (or equivalent): Python, Ruby, Java, or Perl.• Experience as a mentor, technical lead or leading an engineering team.• Experience in UNIX and Windows environments.Why You’ll Love Working Here:It’s not just about work—it’s about building a career and enjoying the ride!
