Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Electrical Design Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and overseeing electrical systems for various building projects, ensuring efficiency, safety, and compliance with local and international standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive electrical design plans for commercial, residential, and industrial buildings
  • Create detailed drawings and specifications using advanced design software
  • Perform load calculations and size electrical equipment accordingly
  • Design power distribution, lighting, and emergency power systems
  • Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other team members to integrate electrical systems with overall building design
  • Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and monitor installation progress
  • Optimize designs for energy efficiency and sustainability
  • Troubleshoot design issues and provide technical support during construction
  • Prepare and review technical reports, cost estimates, and project documentation

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in electrical design for building projects
  • Proficiency in electrical design software, such as AutoCAD and Revit MEP
  • In-depth knowledge of electrical codes and standards, including NEC and IEC
  • Experience with Building Information Modeling (BIM) and energy-efficient design principles
  • Strong understanding of building electrical systems, including lighting, power distribution, and emergency systems
  • Familiarity with energy management systems and sustainable design practices
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Experience with large-scale commercial or residential projects
