Overview of role
Data Analytics is a critical function at eero, reporting to the Head of Business Operations. This role will work closely with the Sales, Marketing, Finance, BI, Manufacturing, and Operations teams to develop robust operational processes and data-informed analyses, ultimately supporting successful business growth, operational efficiency, and sales acceleration. As a Data Analytics Lead, you will be responsible for architecting scalable, best-in-class business intelligence solutions and processes. This is a highly visible role in which you will have a high degree of autonomy, and outsized impact.
We’re looking for someone who:
- Is highly analytical and process-driven, can assist with strategic planning, drive decisions forward, execute on high-impact projects, and lead through influence.
- Understands numbers intuitively: if the numbers don’t add up, you spot it first. If you find yourself or others repeating work, you automate it.
- Demonstrates ability to think strategically and analytically about business, product, and operational challenges.
- Has experience managing stakeholders at all levels.
- Enjoys rolling up their sleeves in a fast paced startup environment and getting things done.
- Is able to work cross-functionally with many teams and multi-tasks with a sense of urgency.
- Has an uncanny ability to embrace ambiguity and see around the corners.
- Has impeccable attention to detail, follow-through, and resourcefulness.
What you will do:
- Build the Business Intelligence roadmap: you will spot the highest priority business intelligence initiatives and improvement areas, and plan to address those in the short, medium and long term
- Work closely with our Finance and BI teams on consolidating key data sources in one place, building the foundation to enable efficient data analysis.
- Produce value-added data analyses to enable executive decision making or a change in the status quo: our business generates a lot of data and only so much can be analyzed effectively to drive decision making. As you get to know the business from multiple perspectives, you'll be responsible for proactively bringing together data insights and crafting data-informed stories.
- Enable data access, literacy and self-sufficiency: As you work with various teams at eero, you will gather a sense of their business and data-related needs, and craft scalable solutions to address them. You will automate manual data collection and manipulation traditionally done in Excel, and create robust data marts where stakeholders can easily generate business insights.
- Drive weekly, monthly, and quarterly business reporting to leadership across eero and Amazon: you will be the hub for business data and communication, and act as the primary point of contact for key business data for some of eero’s largest sales channels.
- 5+ years of SQL experience
- Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
- Experience with AWS technologies
- Experience in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with theory and practice of design of experiments and statistical analysis of results
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders to translate between data and business needs
- Experience managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership
