We are currently looking for a motivated linguist to join our team as a Translation Specialist for Canadian French. The successful candidate will be well organized, driven, and passionate about delivering the right level of quality of translations to our customers. They must have the ability to communicate well with colleagues, external partners and other stakeholders and be able to provide structured feedback. They will be comfortable working in an international, fast-paced environment, where change and ambiguity are present as we constantly grow, improve, and innovate.

Key job responsibilities
- Manage and prioritize quality check queues, efficiently conducting reviews of linguistic work from freelance translators, peers, and external vendors. Proofread and evaluate content to ensure adherence to both customer and company quality standards. Maintain a systematic approach to queue management, balancing workload and deadlines to optimize quality assurance processes across various projects and language pairs.
- Control and improve machine-translation engines’ quality by assessing output and providing linguistic feedback.
- Provide feedback and linguistic coaching to your peers, freelance translators and other external vendors and engage in quality improvement initiatives when needed.
- Proactively spearhead and reactively support cross-functional language initiatives by collaborating with leadership, business, and technology teams. Drive the development and implementation of language-related projects and programs, including training initiatives, to meet evolving organizational needs.
- Leverage your unique skills and expertise to identify opportunities for language optimization across departments, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and fostering a culture of effective communication.
- Develop and implement measures to drive internal quality improvement in collaboration with cross-functional teams. Investigate quality variations and monitor progress across departments. As a secondary responsibility, oversee external vendor quality, addressing significant issues when they arise.

- Prendre l'initiative de manière proactive et réactive pour soutenir les initiatives linguistiques interfonctionnelles en collaborant avec les équipes de direction, d'affaires et de technologie. Basic Qualifications

- French at a native level.
- Oral and written communication in English.
- A great deal of personal initiative, decisiveness and independence.
- Strong and structured communication & exceptional collaboration skills.
- Flexibility, proven ability to prioritize and work towards deadlines.
- Strong working knowledge of CAT tools, MS Word and MS Excel, Outlook.

- Any additional language is a plus
- Ability to make logical decisions while performing tasks even when provided information is ambiguous
- Previous experience in proofreading or post-editing of machine-translated content is a great advantage
- Strong analytical, writing and editorial skills
- Working knowledge of SQL and expert level of Excel is a strong advantage

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $56,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $118,900/year in our highest geographic market.
