Feel free to enrich both your personal and work life and hop on board!Why you'll love this job- Leads 28,000 Flight Attendants and Inflight Operations at domestic and international bases.What you'll do- Leads the overall operation of the Inflight organization, including the front-line and management team members who directly interface with passengers- Develops clearly defined strategies to make the Inflight Organization best in class and to consistently elevate the experience of our passengers and team members- Establishes the strategic framework to achieve performance objectives, including injury and lost time reduction goals, customer satisfaction scores, reliability, financial budgets (headcount/spending), and employee development- Ensures compliance with all regulatory procedures, including safety & security and onboard service procedures, as well as monitoring of daily operations, service excellence programs, and recognition- Creates an environment where learning is encouraged and the status quo is questioned, keeping our internal customers needs top of mind- Strengthens the culture of inclusion, diversity, and development for team members across the organization- Grows and builds a diverse and innovative leadership team through coaching, development, and creating opportunities- Advocates for teamwork and drives cultural change by ensuring the operational and team member issues are resolved quickly and effectively- Maintains strong relationships with key stakeholders in the APFA, FAA, TSA, APA, Flight, Safety, IOC, Medical, In-Flight Products, and MaintenanceAll you'll need for successMinimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience- Demonstrates the highest level of ethics and integrity- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training- 10 years of leadership experience, including 5 years leading frontline management employees and 5 years leading unionized frontline workgroups- Genuine leader with a relatable approach and a proven history of managing team and partnerships- Employee and customer-focused, results-orientated with the ability to influence and motivate others in achieving departmental and company objectives- Experience working with union-represented employees and knowledge of the dispute resolution processes strongly preferred- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with ability to handle complex topics comfortably and clearly communicate a strategic and tactical vision to all levels within the organization, as well as with external agencies and business partners- Ability to motivate front-line leaders and front-line team members to align around operational goals and deliver results through teamwork and individual accountability- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, changing, and complex environment- Ability to drive results through collaboration and facilitate effective relationships across different work groups and levels at American- Ability to think strategically, negotiate skillfully, digest complex details, and use sound judgement and initiative in making decisions- Ability to anticipate, analyze, and interpret complex local and/or system-wide issues- Ability to lead and manage multiple large-scale projects on an ongoing basis and adjust priorities, as necessary, to meet shifting deadlines in a dynamic work environment- Belives in and promotes the American Airlines five leadership attributes:- Caring - We care about all team members- Collaboration - We succeed as a team- Development - We build future leaders- Results - We drive to be the best- Future - We continually challenge the status quoWhat you'll getFeel free to take advantage of all that American Airlines has to offer:- Travel Perks: Ready to explore the world?
