Production Designer

As the Production Designer, you are detail-oriented and skilled at formatting, refining, and finalizing visual assets for both print and digital media. You collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and project managers to ensure all creative materials align with brand guidelines, meet technical requirements, and uphold high-quality production standards. As the Production Designer, you are detail-oriented and skilled at formatting, refining, and finalizing visual assets for both print and digital media. You collaborate closely with designers, marketers, and project managers to ensure all creative materials align with brand guidelines, meet technical requirements, and uphold high-quality production standards. This contract role offers a flexible opportunity to contribute your expertise to a dynamic creative team.

Compensation

This freelance/contract role offers flexible work hours, structured around project deadlines, with compensation set at $30 per hour. Engagements may be project-based or ongoing, depending on the company’s needs, providing an adaptable opportunity for a skilled Production Designer to contribute to a dynamic creative team.

  • Must have exceptional communication, organization, and time management skills. 
  • Must be "self-motivated" as well as creative and efficient in proposing solutions to complex, time-critical problems.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high attention to detail. 
  • Builds and maintains student satisfaction. 
  • Recognizes and anticipates student needs. 

Day to Day Responsibilities

In this role you will wear different hats, but your skills will be especially essential in the following areas: 

  • Format and prepare print and digital assets for production, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
  • Resize and adapt creative assets for various platforms, including web, social media, and print.
  • Ensure designs meet brand guidelines and technical specifications for different outputs.
  • Perform quality control checks, including resolution, color accuracy, and layout adjustments.
  • Manage production files and maintain an organized asset library for efficient workflow.
  • Collaborate with designers, copywriters, and stakeholders to refine and finalize creative projects.
  • Troubleshoot design and production issues, offering solutions for optimization

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years in production design, graphic design, or a related field.
  • Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
  • Understanding of typography, color theory, and layout best practices.
  • Experience preparing print-ready files and optimizing digital assets.
  • High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills in a remote or hybrid work setting.
  • Ability to take feedback and make revisions quickly and efficiently.
