At OnBrand, the UI Designer wears a lot of hats. You need to be a systems thinker, curious visionary, and a trusted team player all rolled into one. You will join a growing design team to develop innovative solutions that work across a variety of digital touchpoints. You will be the user advocate from concept to launch, understanding target audiences' needs, tasks, and goals and translating them into digital experiences. If so, keep reading.What you’ll be responsible for:Execute visual design across all stages of the project life cycle from concept to final hand-off to engineering.Creates beautiful and effective email campaigns that resonate with our card holders and drive results for our marketing partners and the business as a whole.Implement AmEx brand look and feel across digital experiences, applying color, typographic styles and visual identities to further visually communicate the American Express brand in ways that align with best practices and design principles.Design new acquisition pages for both American Express and it’s cobranded properties, translating strategy and marketing goals into elegant visual experiences.Work closely with engineers and QA to ensure that designs are technically feasible and meet the needs of customers and marketing partners.Apply interaction models, design system components, and visual identity in line with American Express brand guidelines and design language.Work with content strategists, account managers, project managers, copywriters and engineers to see your work through from concept to completion.Clearly articulate and present concepts to senior design leadership.Accessibility champion.A successful candidate will:A growing craft practitioner that has experience working within best practices for responsive design Experience working across multiple digital channels such as email and webStrong understanding of email design best practicesStrong proficiency in Figma and experience utilizing design systems and patterns.A customer-first mindset with a good balance of design needs and business acumenUnderstanding of email platforms such as salesforce and cheetah mail.Experience working with content strategists, account managers, project managers and engineers to see your work through from concept to completion.Knowledge of accessibility best practices.Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage, influence, and inspire partners and stakeholders to drive collaboration and alignment.High degree of organization, initiative and personal accountabilityComfortable working with team members spread across multiple locations and time zones, in a matrix environment.3 years of experience in Visual Design, Interaction Design, or experience design preferred.Experience working independently.Knowledge/Technical Skills:Bachelor’s degree in a design related field preferredHave a current understanding of responsive design, mobile interfaces and content management systems.Have strong computer skills and firm grasp of Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office product suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Has been the design key contributor on several major enterprise-level email campaigns, from start to finish.Experience working with within style guides, pattern libraries, and other design solutions that drive design across large organizations.With your application, please include a link to your online portfolio (and password if necessary) to be considered.QualificationsSalary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually bonus benefitsThe above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition.
