We’re looking for a People and Culture Business Partner (sometimes called a "generalist") to help build and sustain an incredible workplace where our Team Members feel supported, inspired, and empowered to do their best work.


This role is more than just HR—it’s about fostering a culture where people thrive, breaking down barriers to get things done, and ensuring that we stay ahead of compliance while maintaining a vibrant, high-performing team. 


What You’ll Do


Think of this role as the glue that keeps our teams strong and our culture thriving. You’ll be at the heart of our People and Culture team, handling both the day-to-day essentials and big-picture initiatives that make Angel Studios a great place to work. Here’s what that looks like:


Be a champion for our people – Serve our team members and leaders, ensuring they have everything they need to succeed, grow, and thrive.


Wear many hats & own your space – Our team is cross-functionally trained, meaning you'll have the opportunity to own multiple aspects across People and Culture while also leading your own recruiting and compliance assignments.


Team up with the People and Culture squad– Work side-by-side with the team to create and execute people strategies that align with our mission and keep Angel an amazing place to work.


Find and welcome the best talent – Own the full hiring journey, from sourcing top-notch candidates to making their first day unforgettable, while also supporting cross-functional team initiatives.


Tear down barriers & get things done – Work across teams to remove roadblocks, streamline processes, and make work easier for everyone.


Keep us legally savvy without the snooze – Stay on top of employment laws and compliance so we operate with excellence while keeping things engaging and people-focused.


Make work fun and fulfilling – Help create experiences that keep Team Members motivated, engaged, and excited to be part of Angel.


Juggle all things people-related – Manage employment records, benefits, payroll changes, and HR logistics to keep everything running like a well-oiled machine.


Help leadership turn vision into action – Support leaders and team members with the insights and strategies they need to lead with confidence.


Grow careers & unlock potential – Assist in performance programs, leadership development, and other growth opportunities for our Team Members.

  • People-Focused – You're proactive in recommending strategies to keep our Team Members motivated and engaged while contributing to an amazing culture of light and creativity.
  • Data-Driven Dynamo – You’ll produce, audit, and submit reports on general HR activities—whether it's benefits, 401K, or other team analytics. You’re always in the know with the latest HR trends and best practices, and ready to submit with compliance and confidence information related to payroll or other important things!
  • Support Champion – From leave management to compensation inquiries, you've got the knowledge, and ability to support our Team Members, helping them navigate all things HR and offering creative solutions along the way.
  • Policy & Systems Pro – You’ll contribute to the development of People and Culture policies, systems, and contracts that empower our team to do their best work, and remove barriers as needed, finding solutions that help.
  • Communication Master – You’ll ensure smooth communication with all stakeholders and handle inquiries with care—while knowing when to escalate complex issues to the right team members.
  • Always Learning – You’re a team player who values professional growth and development. You’ll actively participate in coaching sessions, team meetings, and help keep us on track toward our people and culture goals.

Required education and experience
  • At least four years of human resource experience is required.
  • At least one year of full-cycle recruiting experience is required.
  • Previous experience with HRIS and ATS systems is required.


Preferred education and experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related field 
  • HR related certifications


The Nitty-Gritty: Physical & Work Environment Needs
  • At Angel Studios, we believe in creating an environment where people can do their best work—both comfortably and effectively. Here’s what to expect in this role:
  • Work Environment: Our main office is a comfortable, air-conditioned space designed for collaboration. While every Team Member has their own desk, the open-office layout means things can get fast-paced and occasionally noisy—but that’s just the sound of a thriving team!
  • This role is an on-site, in-person position at our open-office space, where collaboration and creativity thrive! Here’s what to expect:
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods (because great HR happens at desks, in meetings, and sometimes on the move).
  • Ability to lift 15-20 pounds occasionally (think office supplies, event materials, or the occasional stack of People & Culture paperwork). Some of our facilities include multiple stairways
  • Be comfortable spending long periods in front of a computer screen—spreadsheets, emails, and HR systems are part of the magic!
  • Travel: Not typically required, other than local errands/meetings that may occur.
  • Core business hours are 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, but as a People & Culture pro, you know that sometimes support is needed outside of traditional hours (we see you, last-minute onboarding and unexpected team needs!).
  • If you’re adaptable, ready to roll up your sleeves, and love being part of a dynamic, fast-paced environment, this is the place for you!


$60,000 - $95,000 a year
Pay is commensurate with your expertise, impact and the magic you bring, plus a total comp package to back it up! Let's talk if this excites you!

Work environment - When in the main office, expect a comfortable, air-conditioned work environment. Team members are issued their own desks, but the office is an open, shared space and can be fast-paced and occasionally noisy.


Physical demands - Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Must be able to carry 20 lbs. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.


Position type and expected hours of work - Regular full-time, 40 hours per week.


Travel required - Travel is not generally required for this position


Work authorization - Must be authorized to work in the United States.
