We’re looking for a People and Culture Business Partner (sometimes called a "generalist") to help build and sustain an incredible workplace where our Team Members feel supported, inspired, and empowered to do their best work.
This role is more than just HR—it’s about fostering a culture where people thrive, breaking down barriers to get things done, and ensuring that we stay ahead of compliance while maintaining a vibrant, high-performing team.
What You’ll Do
Think of this role as the glue that keeps our teams strong and our culture thriving. You’ll be at the heart of our People and Culture team, handling both the day-to-day essentials and big-picture initiatives that make Angel Studios a great place to work. Here’s what that looks like:
Be a champion for our people – Serve our team members and leaders, ensuring they have everything they need to succeed, grow, and thrive.
Wear many hats & own your space – Our team is cross-functionally trained, meaning you'll have the opportunity to own multiple aspects across People and Culture while also leading your own recruiting and compliance assignments.
Team up with the People and Culture squad– Work side-by-side with the team to create and execute people strategies that align with our mission and keep Angel an amazing place to work.
Find and welcome the best talent – Own the full hiring journey, from sourcing top-notch candidates to making their first day unforgettable, while also supporting cross-functional team initiatives.
Tear down barriers & get things done – Work across teams to remove roadblocks, streamline processes, and make work easier for everyone.
Keep us legally savvy without the snooze – Stay on top of employment laws and compliance so we operate with excellence while keeping things engaging and people-focused.
Make work fun and fulfilling – Help create experiences that keep Team Members motivated, engaged, and excited to be part of Angel.
Juggle all things people-related – Manage employment records, benefits, payroll changes, and HR logistics to keep everything running like a well-oiled machine.
Help leadership turn vision into action – Support leaders and team members with the insights and strategies they need to lead with confidence.
Grow careers & unlock potential – Assist in performance programs, leadership development, and other growth opportunities for our Team Members.
Think ahead & solve problems before they happen – Be proactive in spotting challenges, finding solutions, and constantly improving how we care for our team.
Work environment - When in the main office, expect a comfortable, air-conditioned work environment. Team members are issued their own desks, but the office is an open, shared space and can be fast-paced and occasionally noisy.
Physical demands - Must be able to sit or stand for long periods of time. Must be able to carry 20 lbs. Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
Position type and expected hours of work - Regular full-time, 40 hours per week.
Travel required - Travel is not generally required for this position
Work authorization - Must be authorized to work in the United States.
