About you

You bring to Applaudo the following competencies:

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field; equivalent experience will also be considered.
5+ years of experience in Java software development, with strong proficiency in Java EE and legacy software.
Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills across backend and frontend environments.
Experience working in support environments handling ticket queues, responding to incidents and alerts, and participating in control callouts for critical issues.
Solid experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
Working knowledge of JavaScript and experience with AngularJS or modern Angular frameworks.
Hands-on experience with JBoss and Apache server configuration and deployment.
Proficiency in Oracle database management and optimization.
Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in all phases of development and support.
Fluency in English (C1 level), with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in both technical and conversational contexts.
Experience collaborating in cross-functional teams with strong communication and teamwork skills.
Familiarity with Linux command line for basic operations.
Willingness to learn and adopt internal client tools, such as Splunk and New Relic.
Experience with AWS is a plus; certification is an advantage.
Basic understanding of Bash scripting is considered a plus.

Perform thorough analysis and provide time estimations for development tasks.
Communicate progress and updates concisely, ensuring clear and punctual status reporting.
Collaborate effectively within a team, ensuring strong communication and cooperation.
Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills to address technical challenges.
Maintain fluent English communication, both conversational and technical, to effectively engage with team members and stakeholders.
