A prolific Applause client is looking for a jr-level QA candidate able to execute test cases, report bugs and errors to development teams and work with development teams on reproducing production bugs. It will be key to have solid communications and collaboration skills.Basic Terms:• Role: Associate QA Analyst/Tester• Type: Independent Contractor (1099 ONLY)• Payrate: $28 to $32 USD per hour• Duration: Current term through March 31, 2025 with likely 12-month renewal potential• Capacity: Full-time, primarily Mon-Fri, but must be willing to work weekends and evenings as required• Location: US-based remote with Pacific time zone coverageResponsibilities:• Manual functional testing on websites and mobile device streaming/VOD applications;• Write, execute test cases• Report bugs and escalate as appropriate• Lead QA discussions with client and Applause stakeholders• Work with development teams on reproducing production bugs• Prioritize tasks and escalate issues to appropriate team managers• Attend team meetingsQualifications:• 2+ years of software QA work experience testing web and mobile native apps• Experience performing Black box, regression, and scenario testing• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with all levels of an organization• Bachelor's Degree in computer science or relevant work experience• Proficiency in multi-tasking and prioritizing projects• Excellent time management skills and be accustomed to working with deadlines• Ability to work on weekends and perform testing during live sporting events.
