Applications Engineering job role will include providing pre-sales technical support for the development and implementation of complex full design flows and solutions based on leading-edge Synopsys Synthesis, Place and Route, Low Power and Formal Verification products. They will use their product knowledge to provide technical expertise to the customer through technical presentations, product demonstrations, and hands-on help and guidance for customer engineering teams tasked with implementing complex integrated circuit devices. They will assist the sales staff in assessing potential applications of company products to meet customer needs and prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer applications/solutions. In addition, they will proactively test out early code intended to meet customer requirements, and report back to R&D teams on their findings. These proactive tests will not only help demonstrate the feasibility of the new application for the customer’s specific needs and will also often include client demonstrations to validate achievement of target goals. Finally, they will provide post-sales technical help for implementation, training, and maintenance of Synopsys Synthesis and Place and Route tools, including Physical Synthesis, Low Power design, Timing Sign Off and Formal Verification.

The base salary range across the U.S. for this role is between $97,000-$169,000. In addition, this role may be eligible for an annual bonus, equity, and other discretionary bonuses.
