Assistant Building Services Worker

Job Description Summary
Performs cleaning and maintenance of buildings, furniture and fixtures. Duties are performed at various levels within the defined title.
Building Services, Grounds, Special Services and Recycling employees perform a variety of tasks to maintain the operations, cleanliness, sanitation and appearance of facilities and the surrounding grounds. Develops and operates refuse waste reduction and recycling programs. Delivers and receives heavy materials and supplies. Maintains, diagnoses, and repairs University vehicles and equipment. Maintains pools, fitness and other related equipment.
Job Description
This position is included with The University of Akron Staff Union for which The Communications Workers of America has been designated as the exclusive representative.
We are actively hiring and have multiple positions available. This position involves shift work and the shift will be selected for the employee based on University need.
Current vacancies available on the third shift, Sunday through Thursday from 11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.

Compensation:
This is a full-time Union position with a salary Grade of 51. Salary is $15.00/hour which is subject to the CWA Collective Bargaining Agreement.
