Job Description Summary
This position is a key contributor for NU Learning Experience development and administration. Reporting to the Associate Vice President for Digital Education and IT Strategy, this position works directly with a wide variety of campus partners and constituents across the NU system to ensure that the digital ecosystems for non-credit, badging, and training are supported and properly configured for broad use and deployment to large audiences. This position is responsible for engaging in holistic support from conceptualization to development to workflows to analytics. Providing core support and access for the broad utilization of two large non-credit learning management systems (Canvas Catalog for non-credit/micro-credentials and Bridge for employee development) and complementary badging platform (Canvas Credentials), this position is critical to ensuring the success of planned escalated use of all tools across the University of Nebraska System and its four campuses.
This position will uphold the ITS core principles of outstanding collaboration and communication, a drive to succeed, a passion for higher learning, and acting with integrity.

Qualifications
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree with evidence of educational courses in graphic/instructional design, instructional technology, or related content.
  • 4 years of experience in learning and development with focus on utilization of tools and technology to design and facilitate educational materials. Included in the 4 total years of required experience, at least 1 year of experience managing a learning management system applying strategic thinking, analytics, and innovation.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated capability to use a broad set of content creation tools including Adobe, photo, and video creation and editing.
  • Experience with Canvas as an LMS.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication with attention to detail.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master’s degree
  • 8 years of experience in learning and development. Included in the 8 total years of preferred experience, at least 2 years of experience managing a learning management system.
  • Higher education experience preferred.
Ideal candidates will be an agile collaborator with an innate ability to quickly build rapport and trust; demonstrate excellent independent judgement and analytical skills; strong problem-solving skills; a track record of timely completion of projects and the ability to responsibly manage competing priorities; success in oversight of distributed resources and/or project teams; and commitment to the ideals of a major public research university.
An equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge is acquired may be considered.
