Position Summary:
The Department of Political Science at Colorado College is hiring an Assistant Professor in Comparative Politics, with a focus on China. We particularly welcome candidates who situate China in comparative perspective. Crucial to the position is potential for excellence in scholarship as well as commitment to providing students with a liberal education.

Colorado College has a distinctive academic program, the Block Plan, in which professors teach, and students take, one course at a time. Each block is three and a half weeks long, with an academic year of eight and a half blocks. The average teaching load is five blocks per year, with an additional block overseeing senior research. Faculty can apply for a limited number of release blocks, as well as various sources of funding, to pursue research.
