What you’ll do at Deel
Lead and manage the Payment Operations team who are responsible for the processing of all pay-ins and pay-outs made via our Deel platform
Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and training of the rapidly scaling team including architecting systems for professional development and mentorship
Maintaining direct responsibility over the output and performance of the team’s members
Own the operational metrics and goals of the team, department, and individual targets
Work closely with Leadership, Product, and Engineering on developing the long-term and short term roadmaps for the Deel payments platform.
Create, maintain, and improve processes, cross-company workflow tools, and organizational tools
Proactively review customer-facing issues to drive upstream fixes of customer problems through working closely with Product and Engineering on better user experiences, process improvements, and precise
Deliver green SLA’s across all the different process queues and drive excellence across operational teams
Some key qualifications
5+ years experience managing an operations team with high volume transactions (in a Tech or FinTech start-up environment is a plus)
Proven experience building and scaling teams in a high-growth and high-paced environment
Experience in designing and bootstrapping new processes as well as making impactful iterative process improvements over time that scale with our company’s hyper-growth
Strong analytical skills turning data insights into projects that positively influence customers satisfaction
Own and execute multiple strategic projects/programs; maintaining attention to all details
Foundational technical knowledge of various software development concepts is a plus
Has a solid track record of achievement - e.g. you have worked in a top tier company and/or startup, have quickly assumed more responsibilities, etc.
Still willing to roll up your sleeves with the team when needed
Passionate about building a high functioning team with a positive attitude and mindset for helpfulness!
