We are adding an associate product manager to the Technology Solutions team at Hamilton Lane. This team member will be focused our client-facing and investment team technologies. The right candidate has a passion for designing beautiful, thoughtful applications that anticipate client needs. You are curious, organized, and have a bias towards action. You’ll be involved in all aspects of the development cycle from innovation to launch and have a voice in the product roadmap.
Responsibilities:
Support product manager by translating business goals and user feedback into thoughtful product design
Lead user experience (UX) research by interviewing clients, gather additional client feedback from Customer Success and Sales, and conduct innovation sessions
Identify friction points, articulate core problem and scope
Recommend solutions, articulate changes to business logic or process and bring stakeholders along the product development cycle
Document current and future state with diagrams, functional requirements, user stories
Dig into financial and business data and conduct data analytics to help get to the right number
Work closely with developers to ensure execution of work, triage user stories, and remove blockers for team
Test features, enhancements, and bug fixes before they land in users’ hands
Use measurement and analytics pre- and post-launch of features and enhancements to communicate impact

Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree in quantitative sciences field
5-7 years experience in a strategic or technical role preferably at an enterprise software organization or in the private markets
Analytical, problem-solver mind set, process-oriented
Self-directed, proactive
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-spirited environment with a strong attention to detail and little guidance
Be comfortable with ambiguity as client and business needs change, enjoy an iterative environment
Exhibits empathy and humility, willing to receive and adopt feedback
Champion of user or human centered design
Familiarity with typical product management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Figma, Pendo
Experience in institutional financial services, asset management a plus
