Position Description:

The Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics in the University of Louisville School of Medicine invites applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position.� The Department has a vibrant research portfolio with recent hires geared toward genomic approaches to a range of fundamental problems including host-pathogen interactions, tumorigenesis, and cardiovascular disease.� The successful applicant is expected to be a vital part of the Department's research enterprise by maintaining a vigorous and independently funded research program.� Of particular interest will be individuals working in areas related to the Department's strengths in genomics or topics relevant to institutional affiliates including: the Diabetes and Obesity Center, the Brown Cancer Center, and the Envirome Institute (Cardiovascular).� The appointment will be at the level of assistant professor, but exceptional candidates will also be considered at the associate professor level.� Information about the Department including current faculty, graduate program, and affiliated interdisciplinary research centers is available at www.louisville.edu/medschool/biochemistry.��
