Job Title: Union Payroll SpecialistJob DescriptionA client Aston Carter works with is seeking Payroll professionals with expertise in the Union space and/or having come from a high-volume, fast-paced shared services environment for a contract-to-hire opportunity with a strong performing publicly-traded company. The right candidate will have prior experience and familiarity with Union payroll and manual payroll processing.• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of payroll data to unions for all collectively bargained operating companies within the Segment• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of collective bargaining agreements and other union-related requirements• Collaborate with union and fund representatives and other departments within the Segment to resolve payroll-related issues• Develop and maintain reports and metrics related to union reporting• Assist with union-related audits and inquiries• Support other members of the shared service team and other departments within the Segment as neededHard Skills• 3+ years experience of union payroll experience including• hands-on interaction with unions and union reps to resolve payroll issues (will be exposed to over 200 unions across various companies within the shared service)• Manual payroll processing experience• Intermediate Excel skills - Vlookups & Pivot Tables are a MUST (critical for filtering through the thousands of employees under the umbrella)• Commutable to Hackensack, NJ 1 day per monthJob TypeThis is a contract-to-hire position with a duration of 9 Month(s).Work SiteThis is a hybrid role requiring 1 day in office per month in Hackensack, NJ.Work EnvironmentHours 8:00am - 5:00pm Monday - FridayAbout Aston Carter:Aston Carter provides world-class corporate talent solutions to thousands of clients across the globe.
