Location: HQ in Seattle, WA, open to remote

Comp: $163-232K base + additional bonus & equity

Job Overview

We are seeking an exceptional Lead Software Engineer to lead development of scalable full-stack solutions for our B2B SaaS platform. As a technical leader, you'll be actively contributing to our product development, while also architecting scalable products, helping establish engineering best practices, and contributing to hiring strategies and team development. The ideal candidate brings strong expertise in distributed systems, micro-services architectures, and both frontend and backend development, with a proven track record of building maintainable, well-tested applications.

Key Responsibilities

  • Architect and lead the implementation of complex, scalable systems

  • Drive technical strategy and make key architectural decisions

  • Help build and lead high-performing engineering teams

  • Help establish engineering standards, best practices, and processes

  • Mentor and develop senior engineers

  • Collaborate with product and business stakeholders on technical strategy

  • Drive innovation and technical excellence across the organization

  • Contribute to hiring and team growth strategies

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of professional software development experience

  • 5+ years of technical leadership experience

  • Deep expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (React)

  • Strong background in distributed systems and microservices architecture

  • Expert knowledge of backend development (Node.js, Python, Ruby, or similar)

  • Advanced experience with SQL and NoSQL databases

  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)

  • Strong background in containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Proven track record of building and scaling engineering teams

  • Outstanding communication and leadership skills

  • Experience leading agile development teams

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AI/ML technologies and their practical applications

  • Track record of successful product launches and scaling systems

  • Experience with real-time data processing and analytics platforms

  • Knowledge of security best practices and compliance frameworks

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

  • Previous experience in B2B SaaS companies

  • Contributions to open-source projects or technical publications

  • Experience mentoring and developing engineering teams
