Position Overview

As a Partner Technical Solutions Executive (PTSE), we are a driving factor for the success in Construction Sales with our construction partners. Our mission is to bridge the gap from a technical sales perspective between Autodesk, partner, and customer. As a PTSE, you will be focusing on the development and relationship between the Autodesk Sales Org and the Technical resources in our Partner Network. You will leverage your deep industry and technical knowledge and ability to manage relationships to ensure technical closure in a fast paced, exciting environment.

Responsibilities

Relationship Management

  • Develop a trusted mentoring relationship with your assigned partner technical team ensuring both technical and soft-skill aptitude.
  • Ensure smooth handoff coordination between the pre-sales and adoption/deployment teams, demonstrate expertise to differentiate Autodesk as a long-term solution provider.
  • Establish strong working relationships across cross functional Autodesk teams in an effort to gain insight and appropriately structure relationships with partners

Technical

  • Development of a technical sales strategy with the partner resources in order to provide strong technical closure.
  • Coach partners on conducting technical evaluations, designing solutions architecture, facilitating product demos, and offering consulting support to both partner and internal Autodesk technical teams.
  • Provide guidance to partners on documentation for product workflows to maximize satisfaction and revenue.
  • Work with partnerships and technical services teams scoping industry gap needs for integration through discovery with partners and the customer
  • Assisting partners in the recruitment process for technical sales roles by advising on candidate selection, profile requirements, and assessing current team structure.

Internal Leadership

  • Share best practices, competitive information, and expertise within the sales organization.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team for strategic speaking engagements
  • Provide mentorship to technical sales staff, lead internal sessions to align on goals, and conduct product strategy workshops, acting as a knowledge conduit between partners and Autodesk technical sales teams.
  • Participate in professional associations

Minimum Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in the AEC industry or related experience
  • 3+ years of experience in a Technical Sales position
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for coaching, training, and mentorship

  • A technology expert who can easily distill complex workflows / solutions for several AEC audiences
  • Project Management Experience
  • Travel for partner onsite meetings, and internal ADSK meetings

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based sales roles, we expect a starting On-Target Earnings (OTE) between $152,400 and $220,550. OTE is comprised of base salary plus commission target for sales roles. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries and/or OTE for sales roles, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
