Automation Solutions Engineer: C-4 Analytics

C-4 Analytics is a fast-growing, private, full-service digital marketing company that excels at helping automotive dealerships increase sales, increase market share, and lower cost per acquisition. Who We're Looking For: Automation Solutions Engineer

The Automation Solutions Engineer will provide the technical and engineering expertise needed to implement automation and AI solutions across the organization. They will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining the technical aspects of automation projects. This will involve writing code, integrating systems, troubleshooting, and ensuring the functionality and efficiency of their solutions.

Key responsibilities will include working with the team to build and understand requirements, translating these requirements into technical specifications, and developing and deploying the necessary technologies.

The successful candidate should possess a strong technical and engineering background, preferably with experience in automation and AI technologies. They should also have strong problem-solving skills, the ability to work in a team-oriented environment and across disparate departments, and the desire to stay updated with bleeding edge technology trends.

A day in the life of a Automation Solutions Engineer:

  • Collaborate with the team and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Architect and develop the code, then deploy the solution direct to users.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot existing automation systems to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.
  • Integrate your solutions with existing systems and platforms as necessary.
  • Assist in the technical aspects of training end-users on newly implemented technologies, ensuring they are comfortable and capable of using them.
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies in the field of automation and AI and make recommendations on their applicability and integration into the organization's operations.
  • Conduct rigorous testing of implemented solutions, ensuring they meet business needs and operate as expected.
  • Prepare technical documentation relating to the design, use, and maintenance of solutions.
  • Provide technical support and guidance across the organization in the area of automation solutions.
  • Participate in project planning and progress meetings, providing technical insights and updates.

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • A minimum of 2+ years of:
    • quality-centric software development experience: The ideal candidate should have at minimum 2 years of experience with a strong focus on delivering high-quality software solutions. They should possess extensive experience in writing robust, maintainable, and scalable code that adheres to best practices and industry standards. The candidate should demonstrate a deep understanding of software development principles, including design patterns, modular architecture, and testing methodologies, to ensure the production of reliable and efficient software systems. Please be ready to speak to this experience in detail. We also encourage you to showcase your work by providing a portfolio with your application.
    • Diverse Software Expertise: The candidate should showcase a wide range of experience working with different software technologies, frameworks, and programming languages - ESPECIALLY in automation. They should be adaptable and capable of quickly learning and applying bleeding edge technologies to solve complex problems. The candidate should also possess a diverse portfolio of projects across various domains, showcasing their ability to tackle different software development challenges effectively.
  • Note: It is important to emphasize that the quality of experience and variety of software projects matter more than a specific number of years in the job description. We HIGHLY encourage candidates with exceptional skills and a diverse background to apply, rather than solely relying on a quantifiable metric like years of experience.
  • Collaborative Teamwork: The ideal candidate should possess the ability to effectively work as part of a small team, consisting of either one or two members.
  • They should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the capacity to collaborate closely with others in a cooperative and cohesive manner. This includes being able to communicate effectively, share ideas, actively listen to team members, and contribute constructively to achieve shared goals. The candidate should also exhibit flexibility and adaptability, as they may need to take on multiple roles or responsibilities within the team structure such as Product Management and Engineering.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: The successful candidate should have the capability to balance their role as an individual contributor while also providing guidance and thought leadership in the area of automation-driven solutions to teams across different departments. They should be adept at translating business requirements into clear and comprehensive technical specifications. Moreover, the candidate should possess strong expertise in developing and deploying the necessary technologies to meet those specifications. They should have a proven track record of effectively collaborating with diverse teams, fostering communication, and driving cross-functional alignment to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Mastery of development frameworks, tools, and languages that are geared towards automation and AI projects, i.e. python, LLMs, vector DBs, etc. Related DevOps skills are a plus, i.e. AWS, GCP, etc.

Compensation:

Compensation: We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience and qualifications. The final salary will be determined based on factors such as skills, knowledge, and demonstrated expertise.
