JOB SUMMARY
Job Profile Summary

Aviation Maintenance Manager manages the service, repair, and overall maintenance of aircraft and aircraft engines to verify aircraft are safe for flight and compliant with FAA regulations. Oversees the scheduling and timely completion of repairs and maintenance ensuring budget adherence.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Planning the details of inspection standards, methods, and procedures used by company in complying with all applicable Federal Aviation Regulations, manufacturer’s requirements, and recommendations for company aircraft.
  • Ascertain that all inspections and repairs are performed per the manufacturer’s recommendations and all forms and records are properly executed and maintained prior to aircraft release using defined industry and company standards.
  • Assist, supervise, and direct all vendors during maintenance actions.
  • Assure that no defective, un-serviceable, or un-airworthy parts are installed in any component or articles during a maintenance event.
  • Assure that personnel are authorized to perform maintenance, both at home base and away.
  • Maintain all maintenance records associated with aircraft.
  • Update and review computerized tracking system records as required per internal process.
  • Report and record any discrepancy discovered during daily oversight and/or audits of aircraft and all maintenance.
  • Oversee the AD/SB/AW review within a minimum of 30 days.
  • Assure the Return to Service, Maintenance Release, for each aircraft are followed per the existing process prior to aircraft flight or release.
  • Review financial statements monthly and assist in explanation of variances, budgeting and forecasting for the department.
  • Work with leadership to structure monthly, quarterly, yearly budgets for direct and indirect flight department budgets.
  • Work with leadership in scheduling maintenance, maintenance quoting, execution, and related projects to meet the recommended maintenance schedule requirements {Chapter 4 & 5} for company aircraft.
  • All completed job tasks will be reviewed, posted, and sent to the maintenance tracking software by the Director of Maintenance or a qualified designee of their choice prior to aircraft airworthiness release for work performed on the assigned airplane and provide oversight on subordinate’s records.
  • Perform, all types of aircraft servicing, scheduled maintenance, inspections, non-routine maintenance, troubleshooting per all CFRs (Code of Federal Regulation) and manufacturer's recommendations.
  • Maintain knowledge of minimum equipment list, non-essential furnishings, configuration deviation list on aircraft.
  • Ensure assigned aircraft maintenance records are complete and accurate.
  • Ensure all flight operations are conducted safely and in compliance with Federal Aviation Regulations Part 91 operation specifications
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts and be on-call (days, nights, weekends, holidays).
Education
  • H.S. Diploma
Work Experience
  • 6 - 10 years related work experience corporate aviation/Part91 experience in multiple roles
  • Challenger 300/350 experience preferred
  • CAMP/TRAXALL maintenance tracking preferred

Licenses and Certifications
  • FAA Repairman or A&P/Avionics Certification required
  • FAA A&I Certification preferred

  • Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
