Context:
The project focuses on improving the robustness, reliability, and usability of traveler information at train stations. It involves testing cloud-native software systems built on a microservice architecture and ensuring compliance with quality standards. Agile methodologies such as SCRUM and Design Thinking are used to manage the development and testing processes.
Services Required:
• Planning and execution of technical and professional tests for traveler information systems.
• Coordination of test processes, including methodology definition, scope determination, and procedure development.
• Documentation and evaluation of test results using IT tools like JIRA, Confluence, and IRIS+.
• Collaboration with developers and project staff to ensure test readiness and defect tracking.
• Preparation and presentation of test outcomes to management and stakeholders.
Project Details:
Location:
Primarily remote, with occasional on-site appointments in Berlin or other locations in Germany.
Service Provision:
Services are onshore and independent of location, with remote work as the default.
Technical Requirements:
Experience:
• At least 3 years of relevant practical experience in:
o Test methodology, scope, and procedure conception.
o Execution of technical and professional tests in software development.
• Proven practical experience with tools such as JIRA, Xray, Confluence, and others in agile project management.
• Familiarity with testing cloud-native software systems and microservice architectures.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in large IT development projects with agile methodologies (e.g., SCRUM).
Skills:
• Strong analytical skills for identifying and addressing defects in software systems.
• Proficiency in tools such as OpenSearch, AppSmith, MS Excel, and PowerPoint (including Think Cell).
• Knowledge of transport and logistics, particularly in the passenger transport domain.
• Excellent communication skills in German, both verbal and written, for interacting with stakeholders and documenting findings.
• Methodological knowledge in project management frameworks (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, or IPMA certification preferred).
