W.F. Baird & Associates “Baird” is expanding their HR department and is excited to present a dynamic opportunity for an experienced Human Resources Business Partner “HRBP” in Madison, Wisconsin. This role requires a generalist who will provide a unique combination of hands-on execution and geographical leadership.

This role will report to the Head of Human Resources, located in Canada. The HRBP will initially be a singular US resource, with potential for team expansion in the future. The HRBP will support the company’s global HR strategy, by bringing US-specific expertise and leadership.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage and execute end-to-end recruitment and support resource planning initiatives. Maintain familiarity with competitive landscape and market trends. Make recommendations to optimize candidate experience.

Policy & Compliance: The HRBP will be responsible for reviewing existing policies, ensuring multi-state compliance and making recommendations surrounding best practice and risk mitigation.

Performance Management & Employee Development: Support annual performance review and ongoing professional development processes through implementation administration as well as coaching people leaders.

Employee Relations & Culture Champion: Main point of contact for US employees and people leaders. A strong representative of company values and corporate initiatives.

HR Department Optimization: Identify areas of opportunity and make recommendations on HR initiatives that drive business objectives.

Benefits Coordination: Support the administration of all benefit programs and make recommendations for program enhancements based on usage and market trends.

Support international HR requirements: Baird operates as “One Team Worldwide” and the HRBP will support all team members as needed.

Qualifications

  • Approximately 8-10 years of HR generalist experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or related field
  • Must be able to legally work in United States
  • Must have a valid passport and ability to travel internationally
  • Certified Professional Designation (ie. SHRM), an asset
  • Experience working in multi-state or international organizations, an asset
