Are you a natural problem solver with a propensity for digging deeper into the “what-ifs” of a complex situation? We are looking for an HRIS professional; one who is an active participant and analyst, asking all the right questions and thinking up and down stream in partnership with collaborative teams. If you love thinking more broadly and are passionate about working cross-functionally with others to ensure comprehensive solutions to multifaceted problems, this might be the role for you. Ideally, you will also have Workday HCM experience, supporting configurations, upgrades, and annual HR processes.
You will be responsible for overall system performance, configuration, troubleshooting, maintenance, security, upgrades, user experience and testing of 3rd party applications that support core Human Resources functions. This includes optimizing performance of our systems, gathering data and making recommendations based on business needs, reporting, issue resolution, integrations, maintenance and other HR/technical projects.

a. Provide analytical and technical support for general maintenance, data integrity, issue resolution and process improvements to optimize system functionality and ensure successful outcomes.
b. Serve as a subject matter expert and HRIS technical resource for implementation of annual HR programs and business processes, such as compliance reporting, open enrollment, performance management and compensation administration activities. This includes development of related electronic interfaces, data reporting requirements, testing, system troubleshooting, and maintenance related to these programs, ensuring timely and accurate execution of these programs.
c. Use functional HR and technical knowledge to create, update, and maintain system configurations in alignment with company policies, practices, initiatives, and legal requirements.
d. Manage HRIS security protocols to ensure appropriate access levels are maintained and implemented as designed, including promotion/activation and deprecation of user and enhanced user security access. Regularly audit security settings are working as intended to protect sensitive data.
e. As a key resource to HR team members, provide support to leaders and employees to ensure efficient and effective use of applicable self-service functionality.
f. Understand, document, and communicate the impact of configuration changes to business processes across the platform and system users.
g. Conduct training, including development of user procedures, guidelines and documentation of new and existing system functionality.
h. Collaborate with the Technology team and other corporate functions that could have impact on HCM business processes, configuration, or data. Work with leader to optimize these relationships and enable system governance. Collaborate with company and vendor technology teams on integrations.
i. Support the analysis and troubleshooting of vendor issues (such as tax services and retirement vendors) in a timely manner and review and implement any necessary changes according to business requirements.
j. Develop, test, and implement advanced calculated fields and conditional logic.
k. Identify opportunities for process optimization and technical stability, make operational or strategic recommendations as applicable, and lead efforts to implement. Learn best practices, standards, and stay up-to-date on trends and capabilities by participating in user groups or forums relative to role. Provide input and perform discovery related to the HR technology roadmap.
l. Provide analytical and technical support for the implementation, administration and testing of HR system upgrades. Create, maintain, and enact test case scenarios to ensure proper system functionality.
m. Use knowledge of Wellmark HR’s systems and processes, along with industry standards, best practices and market options to effectively consult on functionality, usability, problem resolution and enhancements.
n. Provide guidance and consult on tasks needed to maintain, enhance and develop the HRIS capabilities. Work with team members to prioritize tasks and deliverables. Manage expectations on scheduling and delivery while ensuring stakeholders’ needs are met.
o. Mentor and coach peers and HR Shared Services roles on business processes, systems configuration, and best practices.
p. Serve as a technical resource on complex report writing and dashboards. Ensure adherence to data governance documentation and practices and educate human resources stakeholders as necessary to ensure data integrity.
q. Other job related duties as assigned.
