We are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Support Liaison in support of the Program Executive Office Ground Combat Systems (PEO GCS).This position will perform comprehensive logistics and technical management related to the support of vehicle operations and repair, receiving and shipping vehicles. Efforts include Refurbishment, Crash Damage Report (CDR), Overhaul, Stryker Double V-Hull (DVH) Exchange, Retrofits, fielding/training, and Operational Need Statement (ONS) missions that support the Warfighter.
Responsibilities- Perform logistics management duties consisting of coordinating and providing recommendations of actions regarding receiving, storage, inventory levels, facilities, component installation, repair, and shipping of vehicles and material under project/product management to ensure the success of the Unit Set Fielding, Refurbishment/Reset, and Retrofit Schedules
- Coordination activities shall consist of communication with satellite facilities to gain status of inventory levels, and utilization of this information in order to recommend material and asset shipments to and from satellite facilities for the purpose of vehicle readiness.
- Provide a weekly status to Government POC.
- Provide recommendations to the supported PM Logistics Division for Refurbishment/Reset, Weld Readiness Repair Program (WRRP) and Overhaul logistical plans and strategies associated with Combat Vehicle Evaluations (CVEs), major Validation Exercises, redeploying vehicles, and battle-damaged vehicles based on the Army Force Generation (ARFORGEN /Sustainable Readiness Model) schedule.
- Monitor and assess production, equipment, material, and labor status by attending weekly Refurbishment/Reset, WRRP, and Overhaul meetings with PMO-SBCT LOG Division, and review the resulting meeting minutes.
- Identify shortages that impede successful completion of Refurbishment/Reset, WRRP, and Overhaul efforts IAW the ARFORGEN/sustainable Readiness Model schedule and notify the supported PM Logistics Division ho will recommend execution and acceptance of vehicles from Refurbishment/Reset, WRRP, and Overhaul.
- On a monthly basis, develop and provide metrics within each monthly status report consisting of identified shortages and progress of their solvency for the supported PM senior leadership.
- Track the Refurbishment/Reset, WRRP, and Overhaul schedules with respect to Refurbishment/Reset vehicle delivery, induction, and completion. Provide written Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) Technical Reports.
- Prepare historical summaries consisting of quantities of vehicles repaired by unit, repair location, and cost of all past WRRP and Refurbishment/Reset, WRRP, and Overhaul completions.
- Attend After Action Review (AAR) meetings, which take place post Refurbishment/Reset, WRRP, and Overhaul completion, to capture lessons learned for future maintenance activities.
- Provide liaison services to ANAD in Anniston, AL, as follows. Daily, personnel will track the source of Government-identified (PM, DCMA, or ANAD employees) issues that impact the quality, production schedule, or shipment of vehicle production, Exchange, Overhaul, Battle Damage Repair or Centralized Reset/Refurbishment vehicles from/to ANAD.
- Track weekly production activities related to Production, Reset/Refurbishment, Repair, Retrofit, Exchange, Overhaul, WRRP, and Core Depot programs.
- In the event of unit redeployment, personnel will conduct an analysis of unit redeployment timeline and ARFORGEN/Sustainable Readiness Model schedule in order to prepare Refurbishment/Reset, WRRP, and Overhaul schedules, to be reviewed and approved by supported PM Logistics Division.
- Participate in supported PM Logistics/ Operations & Fleet Management weekly meetings by providing status briefings related to Production, Development, Reset, Repair, Overhaul, and Retrofit programs at ANAD.
- Participation shall also include performing action items related to rebuilding monument vehicles, gathering data on defective/damaged components documented by Government personnel, development of tracking systems for defective material, or development of tracking systems for repaired vehicles as identified during supported PM Logistics/ Operations & Fleet Management weekly meeting.
- Identify and propose resolutions to program issues related to discrepant material provided to Production, Refurbishment/Reset, Overhaul, WRRP, and Exchange programs; issues related to Vehicle Storage Plan; and analysis of damaged component data gathered from the plant.
- Coordinate Government-approved program overhaul and budget requirements within the supported PM and with the Depot Maintenance Operation Division within the Integrated Logistics Support Center (ILSC) to efficiently manage the depot requirements while meeting program goals.
Qualifications- Secret Security Clearance
- A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply management, business management ; or seven years of logistics or sustainment management planning in the DoD; or ten years of logistics, sustainment, fleet management planning in the civilian workforce.
- Minimum 3+ years of acquisition logistics support and in-depth experience with US Army major weapon systems.
- Familiar with documentation requirements, product support elements, and requirements for the development, procurement, and sustainment of the US Army major weapon systems.
- An understanding of the Army Force Structure, common terms, and terminology is preferred
