The innovative and interdisciplinary ComputationalSciences program offers a B.A. in computer science, leads a newprogram in Data Analytics, and collaborates with several programsacross the college including Environmental Studies, ExperimentalHumanities, and Mind, Brain, Behavior. The successful applicantswill be part of an incoming 5-person cohort within thesignificantly-expanding Computational Sciences. Join our expandingprogram to help shape new curricular offerings and researchopportunities.Responsibilities: Teaching responsibilities will consist ofcomputer science courses at all levels. Responsibilities of therole include: five courses (or equivalent curricular load) peracademic year; senior project advising; participation in ComputerScience curriculum development activities; development of newcourses; student advising. Responsibilities of the role include:five courses (or equivalent curricular load) per academic year;senior project advising; participation in Computer Sciencecurriculum development activities.Qualifications The successful candidate will have a PhD in arelevant discipline by start date (ABD will be considered);demonstrated potential to effectively teach novice to advancedlevel undergraduate Computer Science courses; experience orinterest in pursuing active learning and project-based learningpedagogies; strong communication, organization, and teamcollaboration skills; ability to contribute in meaningful ways tothe university’s continuing commitment to diversity and inclusivepedagogy; be excited about interdisciplinary connections andinterested in contributing to existing interdisciplinary activitieson campus and helping to establish new ones.Application InstructionsTo apply, send a cover letter, curriculum vitae, and teaching andresearch statements.
