Job Summary The Marketing and Communications Specialist assists the Marketing Manager and Marketing Team in executing marketing communications strategy. This role involves using company-owned, earned, and paid channels print advertising, websites, video, and social media platforms. The specialist will play a crucial part in driving traffic, engagement, and lead generation to achieve company goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Collaborate with the Marketing Team to execute communication and marketing initiatives that enhance engagement, awareness, lead generation, and company goal accomplishment. Assist in creating, refining, and executing a content calendar aligned with company strategic objectives. Ensure consistency of brand guidelines across all projects and channels. Develop layouts and designs for a variety of marketing materials, including advertisements, brochures, tradeshow displays, digital media, websites, large-format graphics, and photo editing. Promote public-facing education programs, including live and online events, through compelling messaging across email, social media, web, and other channels. Create and publish content on company-owned websites, focusing on SEO, Core Web Vitals, and user experience best practices. Plan, design, test, and monitor personalized email campaigns targeted to specific audiences. Use segmentation and filtering to create data-driven target audiences for company communications. Collaborate with internal stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy. Integrate visuals, including stock photography and graphic design elements, consistent with the brand image. Perform other projects as assigned. Education and Experience Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or a related field. 3 years of experience in a communications or marketing specialist role. Experience with various digital marketing techniques and cross-channel communications is preferred. Skills and Abilities Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud programs, including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator. Photography and videography skills are a plus. Experience with email marketing platforms such as MailChimp, Constant Contact, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar. Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, OneDrive, and SharePoint. Experience with web publishing CMS systems such as WordPress and analytics tools like Google Analytics 4. Understanding of marketing metrics and the ability to apply campaign analytics. Strong project management skills, both independently and collaboratively. Experience in financial industry communications or a willingness to learn about the industry and its practices. Language Skills Exceptional graphic design and writing skills at a professional level. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business publications and professional journals. Skill in crafting persuasive and concise marketing materials. Strong presentation skills and the ability to respond effectively to questions from managers, clients, members, and the public.
