We are currently looking for a Benefits Specialist to join our growing team. This role can be based out of one of the following Cumming Group office locations; Nashville, Denver, Chicago, or Dallas. In this role, you will be responsible for administering Cumming's benefit plans and leaves of absence for 1,200+ employees across the US.
Responsibilities:
  • Administer Cumming benefit plans and programs across the US. Including but not limited to, health, dental, vision, life and disability, voluntary plans, and wellness.
  • Liaise between carriers and Team Member to ensure timely resolution of inquires and issues.
  • Process and audit enrollment data in Workday to ensure accuracy and timely processing.
  • Manages the Benefits email account to ensure timely response.
  • Respond to requests such as National Medical Support Notice, various state and vendor SDI and PFL notices, CMS verification of coverage. Other verification of coverage requests as needed.
  • Support monthly invoice reconciliation and enrollment audits.
  • Leave of Absence administration. Meet with Team Members prior to leave to discuss entitlements and explain the process. Collaborate with Payroll regarding Team Member’s leave status. Ensure proper leave documentation is submitted. Maintain leave of absence tracking.
  • Preserve compliance with all applicable laws, company policies and procedures.
  • Administers Tuition Reimbursement program and timely processing of payments. Manage applications to ensure they align with program guidelines.
  • Provide support and champion the wellness program.
Qualifications:
  • Three years’ experience with benefits and leave of absence administration. Multi-state and self-funded experience is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of benefits compliance, such as but not limited to, ERISA, HIPAA, ADA/ADAAA, COBRA, and FMLA.
  • Experience with benefit admin systems, either within and HCM or externals. Workday experience is preferred but not required.
  • Proven problem-solving skills, organizational and time management skills.
  • Detailed oriented and high degree of accuracy.
