FP&A serves as the trusted financial advisor to our business partners. We aim to be experts in the business functions we support and deliver high-quality execution to align with the company’s strategic goals.

We are looking for an exceptional Senior Financial Analyst to partner with our G&A functions. Reporting to the Manager, FP&A Business Partnership, you will play a key role in driving BetterUp’s financial success by supporting leaders with comprehensive reporting, analytics, and strategic financial insights.

In this role, you’ll act as a trusted advisor and financial expert, helping leadership make informed decisions that align with BetterUp's long-term goals. Your ability to distill complex financial data into clear, actionable recommendations will be critical in optimizing efficiency, reducing costs, and driving revenue growth.

What you’ll do:

  • Serve as the key financial partner between FP&A and leadership in the G&A functions.

  • Build and maintain best-in-class reporting packages, delivering insights on actual performance versus budget and informing forward-looking guidance.

  • Drive the annual budgeting process and periodic forecasting cycles in collaboration with business leaders.

  • Develop and improve financial planning, reporting, and analysis processes to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and effectiveness.

  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and financial support for key strategic and operational initiatives.

If you have some or all of the following, please apply:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA is a plus).

  • 4+ years of experience in financial analysis, reporting, and/or business partnership roles.

  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Proven ability to build relationships across functions and organizational levels.

  • Service-oriented and innovative mindset, with a passion for problem-solving.

  • Advanced skills in financial modeling, Excel, and analytical tools. Experience with NetSuite Planning or similar planning/ERP tools is preferred.

  • Prior experience in high-growth, fast-paced environments is a plus.

At BetterUp, we compensate our employees fairly for their work. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, residence location, as well as market indicators. The range below is representative of base salary only and does not include equity, sales bonus plans (when applicable) and benefits. This range may be modified in the future.

The base salary range for this role is $122,000 – $211,000.

If you live in New York, the base salary range for this role is: 

$141,000– $211,000 : New York City

$122,000 – $184,000 : Nassau, Newburgh
