What You Will Do:
The Billing Manager will help manage the day-to-day functions of the billing department, as well as the month-end process to ensure accuracy; completeness; and adherence to deadlines. You will be responsible for reviewing customer invoices and reconciliations. This person will report to the Senior Director of Revenue Accounting and will work directly with the Accounting, Sales and Client Support teams in addition to the Billing team.

Develop a strong expertise on each of our billing platforms to support the billing team

Review contracts and amendments to determine contractual billing requirements and verify invoices are in compliance with the contract terms

Understand and review customer invoices

Understand and review various billing reconciliations

Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts

Assist with monthly, quarterly and year-end close cycles

Analyze and resolve any escalated billing issues to improve billing integrity

Proactively forge strong working relationships with assigned partners. Provide timely and candid communication on statuses, problems and timelines

Comply with deadlines and policies

Proactively recommend and implement process, procedural and policy enhancements

Liaise with and support finance functions outside of billing
-
Develop and conduct training sessions; maintain, update and enhance billing process documentation

Promote a positive, energetic culture featuring accountability, strong communication, teamwork, collaboration and excellence

Support the external audit process by providing audit support

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or equivalent combination of education and experience
-
Ideal candidates are team players, self-motivated, enthusiastic, able to establish good relationships with team members, and able to work quickly and concisely while under pressure

Strong customer service orientation and ability to successfully deal with employee and customer questions to resolve issues
