The Office of Educational Opportunity and Enrichment Services houses a family of programs, services and centers designed to support student learning, enhance the student experience and foster strong communities where students feel empowered to achieve their goals. Transition assistance, support services and co-curricular opportunities are offered to all students along with specialized support geared toward various diverse student communities. Programs and centers include the Special Transitional Enrichment Program (STEP), First-year Aggie Connections (FYAC), Educational Opportunity Program (EOP), Guardian Scholars Program (GSP), Success Coaching and Learning Strategies, Mentorship for Undergraduate Research in Agriculture, Letters and Science (MURALS), Transfer Reentry Center (TRC), TRIO Scholars Program, Veterans Success Center (VSC), Basic Needs Center and Pre-Graduate/Law Advising. The department employs over 125 students as peer advisors and mentors, coaches and program assistants.
The TRIO Scholars Program at UC Davis is a federally funded grant from the U.S. Department of Education. TRIO Scholars staff works with approximately 160 undergraduate students to assist them with retention and graduation. This is a 12 month grant funded position and has an expected end date of August 2025 with the possibility of extension based on the availability of continued grant funding and programmatic needs.
Job Summary
Under general supervision of the coordinator of the TRIO Scholars Program, provide administrative support for the TRIO Scholars Program. Participate in budget and report preparation; monitor and track program expenditures; provide business services such as purchasing, payroll/hiring and provide general clerical and administrative assistance to program staff.
