As a member of our North America PMO, the Project Manager plays an impactful role in driving the successful delivery of IT Asset Management delivery and/or Managed Service projects/ across our customers. Our Project Managers have the opportunity be exposed to and drive delivery across multiple service lines including Software Asset Management Tool Implementations, Maturity Assessments, Major Publisher Advisories, and Diagnostics. Our PMs are accountable for the end to end quality of projects delivered by the service teams. The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring projects meet scope, timeline, milestone, and budget expectations through planning, executing, controlling, and closing projects from SoftwareOne’s portfolio of services. The Project Manager is responsible for the successful delivery of the whole of the project or managed service program, workstreams and management of their inter-dependencies. S/He leads a delivery team that may consist of technology architects, consultants, analysts, specialists, and/or third party vendor teams. The Project Manager is a critical component of our service delivery teams in driving a positive Customer experience – resulting in high customer satisfaction.
Role & Responsibilities:
The Project Manager is expected to assume the following specific tasks:
- Ensure projects are implemented with full adherence with SoftwareOne’s Global Project Management Methodology, any local project governance requirements, financial processes, financial records and reports and audit follow up.
- Work with delivery teams to define requirements, success criteria, milestones etc.
- Build project plans, kickoff projects, run status meetings, and maintain communications to keep all stakeholders informed throughout project.
- Track and manage project activities like: Schedule Management, Cost Management, Risk & Issues Management, Meeting Management and Change Management.
- Actively manages project escalations to resolution.
- Attainment of project profitability, utilization, chargeability, efficiency metrics and any other relevant KPIs for all projects.
- Solicit feedback from customers, delivery resources, and any other stakeholders to provide input for lessons learned.
- Coach, mentor, train and otherwise support other PMO Team members in the fulfilment of their project support functions, where applicable.
- Support project reporting activities.
- When managing a managed service project or program:
- If applicable:
- Partner with CSM to ensure the identification of customer success criteria
- Coordinates with the CSM the management of the strategic goals of the program to success
- Coordinates across workstreams identifying efficiencies, dependencies, issues and risks
- Governs the overall strategy and has a partnering relationship with the customer program sponsor to drive the success of the SoftwareOne program
- When required responsible for communicating the status of the workstreams portion of the Program to the Customer Program Sponsor and/or Senior Leaders
- Travel for projects, corporate events, and/or other events as needed – estimated at 25%.
Qualifications and Experience
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor degree in project management, business administration, computer science, or another relevant degree
- Current PMI Project Management Professional Certification
- Agile Certification is a plus (e.g. PMI-ACP, Certified Scrum Master, etc.)
Work Experience:
- 7+ years of relevant project management experience
- Experience in managing customer facing/external projects
- Experience driving on-time, on-budget project completion for complex projects involving multiple parties (e.g. SoftwareOne delivery team, customer team, third party vendors, third party suppliers, etc.)
- Experience in all aspects of project management including, financial management, budget management, contract management, risk management, quality management, program management and reporting
- Experience managing projects using an Agile methodology (e.g. Scrum, KanBan, etc.) is nice to have
- Experience using Microsoft Project
- Experience with project management of technical solution implementation/deployments and managed services is highly desired
- Risk management experience is highly desired
- Able to work efficiently with minimal direction
Project Experience:
- Experience in managing customer facing technology consulting projects including management of project financials
- Experience operating as a project manager in a consulting environment. Experience or exposure to Advisory/Consultation, Deployment/Implementation, Integration, and Development Services for any of the following:
- Flexera Software
- Snow Software
- ServiceNow
- Experience in managing customer facing projects
- Experience driving on-time, on-budget project completion for complex projects involving multiple parties (e.g. SoftwareOne delivery team, customer team, third party vendors, third party suppliers, etc.)
Languages:
- Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
- Additional language proficiency is a plus

Salary: $120,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
