Copywriter - Mental Health Practice

About Blueprint

At Blueprint, we’re on a mission to empower therapists with world-class tools so they can focus on what matters most—delivering exceptional mental health care.

Our AI assistant is purpose-built for therapists, automating the administrative tasks that slow them down and enabling them to operate at the top of their license. With Blueprint, therapists aren’t just managing their work; they’re supported by tools that understand the context of each client interaction. Compared to legacy software tools, Blueprint feels more like having the world’s best executive assistant at your side.

Today, over 40,000 therapists use Blueprint to enhance care for hundreds of thousands of clients. We’ve found strong product-market fit and are scaling rapidly to meet demand.

Our organization is very flat, and our team is intentionally small and talent-dense. We like people who are truthseekers, creative, and passionate about improving mental health care.

We’re a remote-first company (U.S. and Canada only, for now) and come together in person a few times a year to connect, have fun, and help shape the future of mental health care.

The Role

We’re looking for a creative, insightful copywriter who understands both mental health therapy and the business of being a therapist.

Most therapists aren’t just clinicians—they’re also small business owners, solo practitioners, or part of small group practices. They juggle clinical work, documentation, client relationships, marketing, billing, compliance, and more. This role is about speaking directly to that experience.

This role is ideal for someone who:
✔️ Has experience writing about mental health or working closely with therapists
✔️ Understands the unique challenges therapists face—not just in delivering care, but in running a business
✔️ Can write with empathy and credibility, using language that resonates with solo practitioners and small practice owners
✔️ Enjoys blending storytelling, education, and marketing to create engaging content

You’ll play a key role in helping therapists discover, understand, and adopt Blueprint’s tools—making their work easier, more efficient, and more effective.

What You’ll Do

  • Write clear, engaging content across multiple channels (social media, blog, email, website, product interface, white papers, and more)
  • Develop content that speaks directly to therapists, addressing both their clinical needs and their challenges as SMB owners
  • Translate clinical research, mental health trends, and practice management best practices into accessible, actionable content
  • Create educational materials, case studies, and thought leadership that help therapists improve both client outcomes and business operations
  • Collaborate with clinicians, designers, and marketing teammates to develop compelling content
  • Stay current on mental health trends, therapist business challenges, and industry shifts to ensure content is relevant and impactful
  • Leverage AI tools like ChatGPT, Midjourney, and DALL·E to brainstorm and enhance creative ideas

What You Bring

  • 2 - 5 years of experience in copywriting, content creation, or journalism—preferably in mental health, healthcare, or health tech Vertical SaaS
  • Strong understanding of therapists and their business challenges—whether through professional experience, research, or personal passion. We have a strong preference for candidates who are current or formerly licensed therapists.
  • Ability to write in a tone that is empathetic, credible, and engaging for a therapist audience
  • Strong storytelling and editing skills, with a portfolio demonstrating your ability to simplify complex topics
  • Experience working with subject matter experts to ensure accuracy and nuance in mental health and business writing
  • A creative, proactive mindset with the ability to generate fresh, compelling content ideas
  • Strong project management skills—able to balance multiple writing projects and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with SEO, social media, or digital marketing is a plus
  • Experience with AI content tools (ChatGPT, DALL·E, Midjourney) is a bonus
  • Why Join Blueprint?
    • Own and optimize the marketing execution engine—you’ll make sure everything runs efficiently.
    • Work with a high-caliber team that values organization and execution.
    • See tangible impact—your work will directly enable growth and scalability.
    • Remote-first culture—work from anywhere in the U.S. or Canada.
    • Mission-driven work—help mental health professionals succeed with better tools and technology.

  • Benefits:
    • Competitive salary and equity
    • 100% remote – no office, no commuting
    • Health, dental, and vision insurance, with 75% of your premium covered by Blueprint
    • Semi-annual team gatherings (in Chicago!)
    • Unlimited PTO
    • Opportunities to grow with the company and shape our product
    • Hardworking, mission-driven, friendly coworkers
