POSITION SUMMARY
The Learning and Performance Manager creates and delivers dynamic learning solutions to drive key strategic business initiatives. This production-oriented role will lead by implementing an efficient course development process for online, virtual, and in-person learning within the team and for delivering practical application-based solutions. The Learning + Performance Manager works closely with Enterprise Leadership, internal and external stakeholders, subject matter experts, and other Barton Malow team members to promote collaboration and accountability in learning and performance.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Excellent project management and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to milestones and deadlines
Builds and maintains relationships with business leaders to identify learning and development needs and support overall business strategy.
Directly supervises three full-time Learning Experience Designers
Work with SMEs to write and design training curricula, materials, and programs, including safety, technical, and essential skills.
Utilize technology to improve quality and access to training for regional and field-based employee populations leveraging games, simulations, and VR/AR.
Apply technology and best practices to improve performance and engage the modern learner, incorporating innovative solutions into the content design and development recommendations.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Master’s degree in instructional design, adult learning, or related field.
5+ years’ experience in the area of instructional technology, eLearning design, and implementation
Experienced people leader
Exceptional writing and visual design skills
Knowledge of training methodologies, adult learning requirements, needs assessment, and evaluation.
Ability to approach training initiatives with creativity and flexibility
Ability to quickly learn and translate company vernacular and technology
Experience in InDesign, XML/HTML, Video, SharePoint, SuccessFactors, and Articulate 360.
