Commercial Sales & ServiceFacilitates decisioning and analysis of all types of credit information to support lending decisions and processes for standalone corporate card and ACH at BMO. Maintains and promotes a client service environment to satisfy and exceed customer needs and expectations. This role will make credit decisions and recommendations in accordance with sound credit-granting principles and in compliance with Bank Policies & Procedures.
Complete all scheduled reviews, as assigned/requested by designated Portfolio Manager in a timely manner and within acceptable quality including discussions with customer, conducting financial analysis, updating security information, workup credit information and forward to Portfolio Manager for decisioning.
Support Portfolio Manager(s) with Annual Review process by identifying customers and accounts for review, completing spreads of financial statements and confirming risk positions.
Identify, record, and advise Portfolio Manager of any credit &/or risk management issues and related recommendations identified through review work.
Provide timely, accurate service and support to ensure the retention of valuable commercial clients and to identify and recommend workflow & process alternatives which can lead to improved efficiency and service levels.
Acts timely, efficiently and independently, taking ownership of client satisfaction.
May include focused calling and pipeline management activities.
Provides advice and guidance to assigned business/group on implementation of solutions.
Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
Conducts thorough analysis of client credit risk.
Provides accurate financial analysis and risk assessment of new and existing customers.
Partners with internal stakeholders for accurate, detailed client information.
Develops credit information to make lending decisions on new, renewal and extension loans.
Prepares summary, present facts and offer opinions concerning credit worthiness.
Minimizes BMO’s risk exposure by adhering to internal credit policies and procedures with respect to lending decisions.
Builds effective relationships with internal/external stakeholders.
Thinks creatively and proposes new solutions.
Exercises judgment to identify, diagnose, and solve problems within given rules.
Works mostly independently.
Broader work or accountabilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
1-3 years of previous Commercial Loan and Credit analyst experience required.
In depth specific functional knowledge of Commercial Banking
Strong ability for financial analysis.
Exceptional skills in quantitative analytics and credit analysis skills.
Nice to have - Corporate Card Experience
Highly developed written and oral communication skills.
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office products and the Internet.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under limited supervision.
Basic understanding of risk management concepts
Ability to learn and adapt quickly.
Excellent capability to independently and proactively service multiple clients.
Specialized knowledge from education and/or business experience.

Salary:
$52,800.00 - $98,400.00Pay Type:

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
