Boater’s World Marine Centers is seeking an experienced and results-driven Sales Manager to lead the sales department at our Lake Placid, FL location. This is a hands-on leadership role where you’ll not only manage the sales team but also be actively engaged in selling boats and creating exceptional buying experiences for our customers.


This position is perfect for a high-performing sales leader from the marine, automotive, or RV industry who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. Our company is growing fast—and we’re looking for a motivated leader ready to make a significant impact.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the dealership’s sales operations and staff on a daily basis.
     
  • Actively participate in the sales process—greeting customers, conducting walkarounds, desking deals, and closing sales.
     
  • Work directly with customers to help them select boats and products that meet their needs.
     
  • Train, mentor, and develop the sales team to meet monthly volume and revenue goals.
     
  • Desk deals, manage inventory, and coordinate closely with the F&I team to ensure seamless customer transitions.
     
  • Monitor daily performance metrics and adjust strategies to drive results.
     
  • Promote a positive, customer-centric culture that emphasizes repeat business and referrals.
     
  • Assist in marketing campaigns and community engagement initiatives.
     
  • Maintain full compliance with dealership policies and applicable regulations.
     
  • Communicate performance reports and dealership updates to senior leadership regularly.

Requirements

 

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in a sales management role within a dealership setting (marine, automotive, or RV preferred).  
  • Strong understanding of F&I processes and desking deals.  
  • Proven track record of building and leading successful sales teams.  
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills.  
  • Knowledge of marine products is a plus, but not required.  
  • Proficient with CRM and dealership management systems; strong Microsoft Office skills.  
  • Self-motivated, goal-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
