Mission Systems Analysis Engineer (Lead or Senior)

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking Mission Systems Analysis Engineers, in St. Louis, MO, supporting a Phantom Works Fixed Wing Proprietary Program. You will be joining a fast-paced Phantom Works program where you will be responsible for developing and integrating complex, highly integrated, systems of systems. As an analysis engineer you will be responsible for performing design analysis, algorithm development, as well as analyzing test data to prove system performance. Your work will define how the performance of Mission Systems integrated sensors, communication, and weapons meet the operational needs of our warfighter.

In this role, you will be joining a cross-functional team integrating advanced Mission Systems capabilities as part of a very exciting and critically important development effort. You will have the opportunity to operate in an agile development environment, mature our products through the development lifecycle, work on next generation open-architecture model-based designs, and collaborate across multiple disciplines.

The day-to-day activities of this position will be a combination of traditional design engineering, collaborating with cross-functional peers, and presenting technical challenges and solutions to leadership. Frequent interaction with program leadership, customers, and industry partners during critical design phases will be key elements of this position. This position will provide the candidate an opportunity to develop their engineering skills with potential growth into a leadership role. 

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including; Lead or Senior Level Mission Systems Analysis Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

• Perform system analysis and algorithm development
• Analyze data captured during test
• Lead development of analysis tools to analyze data from test
• Lead Algorithm development efforts and verification of algorithms
• Lead requirements definition and verification for capabilities.
• Work with customers to develop and document requirements for system design
• Analyze and translate customer requirements into system, hardware and software designs
• Define software requirements, behaviors, and interfaces. Define logical and software interfaces to ensure compatibility with the platform architecture and ensure proper interoperability with other subsystems
• Utilize Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for hardware, software, and performance model development. Utilizes MBSE for requirements development, interfaces definition, and traceability
• Tests and validates System functionality and performance to ensure designs meet operational and functional requirements

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Travel may be required up to 10% of the time; Domestically depending on business needs.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.  An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• (Level 4) 9+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s or 7+ years of work related engineering experience with a Master’s or 4+ years of work related engineering experience with a PhD
• (Level 5) 14+ years of work related engineering experience with a Bachelor’s or 12+ years of work related engineering experience with a Master’s or 9+ years of work related engineering experience with a PhD

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range (Lead or Senior, Level 4): $119,850 - $162,150

Summary pay range (Senior or Lead, Level 5): $143,650 - $194,350
