The Opportunity

As our Director of Finance, you’ll serve as the analytical engine for the financial planning, analysis and forecasting for the organization and provide timely and accurate information to our Senior Leadership Team and Investors. You’ll be responsible for understanding the drivers of the business, establishing relevant metrics to track performance, and incorporating into operating budgets, forecasts, and board preparation. This is an exciting opportunity to report directly to our CFO and support critical initiatives throughout the organization.

How You’ll Contribute at Buildout

  • Partner with the CFO to prepare and present financial reporting and analysis for the Board of Directors, Private Equity sponsors, and Senior Leadership Team

  • Create and maintain monthly financial operating model

  • Collaborate with the Accounting team on the monthly Board reporting package, including analysis of actual vs forecasted results  

  • Participate in the development of monthly and quarterly operating reviews

  • Support the annual strategic planning and budgeting process with the Senior Leadership Team and deliver forecast updates down to the department level

  • Liaise with our Private Equity sponsor to construct and communicate analyses of business performance and potential M&A opportunities

  • Develop reports to analyze revenue by product and a Quarterly Business case review for new opportunities

  • Perform ad hoc analyses to provide strategic insights into how we’re tracking to department and company goals

  • Become a power user of our tools including Sage Intaact and Salesforce 

  • Assist in Sage Intacct Migration for remaining entities

  • Assist in the month-end close process and migrating ERP systems to streamline reporting

What You’ll Bring to Buildout 

  • 4+ years of experience in corporate FP&A, investment banking, or accounting management; SaaS experience is preferred and experience in private equity environment a plus

  • Expertise in Sage Intacct and system implementation experience is strongly preferred

  • Deep understanding of GAAP, cash flows and financial presentation

  • Highly proficient in Excel with ability to build complex operating and financial models

  • Demonstrated experience working with large amounts of raw data to build complex analyses and support strategic decision making 

  • Ability to effectively communicate and present complex concepts in a simple and polished manner for decision makers

  • Action-oriented mindset with affinity for working on difficult problems and driving for results

  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment, and deliver results under tight deadlines.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA designation is a plus.

This is a fully remote role open across most of the US, however candidates must be able to work CST or EST hours. The targeted compensation for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 plus bonus.
