Job Description

As a Business Development Associate focusing on Tekion Digital Processing (TDP) Dealer Sales, you will play a crucial role in driving our company's growth within the dealer market segment. You will be responsible for researching and prospecting potential dealers, building relationships, and assisting in closing deals. Working closely with the Senior Director, Business Development and cross-functional teams, you will help shape the company's sales strategy for the TDP dealer segment, expand our customer base, and contribute to revenue generation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and identify potential DP dealers in the target market by conducting market research, competitive analysis, and lead generation activities.
  • Qualify and prioritize inbound dealer leads, and proactively reach out to potential dealers to introduce our Tekion Digital Processing (TDP) solutions and services.
  • Conduct effective sales presentations and demonstrations specifically tailored to the needs and requirements of dealers.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within the TDP dealer network, including executives, decision-makers, and influencers, through effective communication and relationship management techniques.
  • Collaborate with the Sr. Director, Business Development to develop and implement strategic plans and initiatives specifically focused on the TDP dealer segment.
  • Assist in negotiating and closing deals with dealers, including contract preparation, pricing negotiations, and contract review, in collaboration with the sales and legal teams.
  • Track and analyze market trends within the dealer segment, customer feedback, and competitor activities to identify areas for improvement and develop sales strategies accordingly.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities specifically targeted towards dealers to represent the company and promote our Tekion Digital Processing (TDP) solutions.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on TDP dealer sales activities, pipeline status, and revenue forecasts to the management team.
  • Continuously enhance product knowledge, industry trends, and sales techniques specific to the TDP dealer segment to effectively position our Tekion Digital Processing (TDP) offerings and stay ahead of the competition.

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a similar role in the technology or SaaS industry with automotive interstate titling experience.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of dealer sales processes, industry trends, and market dynamics within the automotive industry.
  • Experience with sales and making cold calls.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at various levels within the dealer network.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct effective sales presentations and negotiations tailored to dealers, and close deals.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven individual with a passion for achieving and exceeding Tekion Digital Processing (TDP) dealer sales goals.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and develop creative solutions specific to the TDP dealer segment.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and sales productivity tools.
  • Flexibility to travel occasionally for TDP dealer meetings and industry events.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on customer satisfaction and business growth within the TDP dealer segment.

The salary range for this position is $65,280 to $110,400. The salary range describes the minimum to maximum base salary range for this position across applicable US locations. This position is also eligible for a bonus whereby total compensation may exceed base salary depending on individual performance. The actual compensation offered may vary from the posted hiring range based on geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and/or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process. In addition to the compensation listed, this position is eligible for equity compensation.
