What you should know about the Business Relationship Officer role:

The Business Relationship Officer is responsible for managing the daily transactional flow of new business volume from Vendor Industrial Finance while also contributing to and helping facilitate strategic initiatives including but not limited to the onboarding of new client relationships, the development of VIF-specific policies and procedures and the oversight of the VIF client experience.

In this role, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Facilitate the documentation and funding referral process between VIF and SF Contract Management to ensure client satisfaction on a consistent basis. Serve as the liaison between ESO's and Contract Management to help streamline all types of funding and ensure that vendor specific guidelines are being adhered to.
  • Oversees the onboarding of new vendor relationships including the review of program and assignment agreements by VIF and outside counsel, establishing private label billing procedures for new clients and help establish new business processes and procedures that help increase VIF market competitiveness.
  • Assists sales with ad hoc pricing, application submittal or other critical business initiates such as subordination requests. Perform other administrative, supervisory functions and tactical roles as directed by manager.
  • Responds to vendor or obligor initiated customer service related inquires from OEM's, dealers, and other approved business referral sources to ensure that
    identified issues are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Assists with testing and documentation for key system or software upgrades as they relate to audited business processes for VIF.
  • This position will have no direct reports to start. However, may eventually need to perform supervisory functions at the direction of the Manager.

To be successful, your background should match these qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA, BS, BBA, etc.) from four-year college or university and three to five years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Five to seven years prior banking or finance experience with experience in a commercial lending environment preferred
  • Knowledge of loan and lease processing, UCC filing process, basic knowledge of the SuperTrump pricing tool and proficiency with industry related software applications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills combined with superior analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Ability to excel in a fast paced, start-up environment where candidate will be asked to step into multiple roles in an effort to support the growth of the Vendor Industrial Finance business.
  • Detail oriented, organized and self motivated. Candidate must have the ability to effectively multitask and utilize several systems required to perform daily tasks.
