Sr. Ecommerce Manager

CALPAK is looking for an experienced Senior E-Commerce Manager to drive sales growth and elevate the online shopper experience for our DTC channel. In this role, you’ll collaborate with the E-Commerce Director to develop and execute long-term strategies, optimize site performance, and oversee UX/UI enhancements to boost engagement and conversion rates. With a focus on leadership, you’ll also guide and mentor a high-performing e-commerce team while ensuring alignment with cross-functional partners. Requirements

  • Partner with the E-Commerce Director to develop and ideate long-term e-commerce strategies that drive online sales and improve conversion rates.
  • Assist the Director in owning the E-Commerce channel, taking full responsibility for strategy execution, performance, and optimization.
  • Help with DTC and B2B online sales channel forecasting and monitor progress against these forecasts on a weekly and monthly basis.
  • Develop and manage reporting for all online sales channels, including site KPIs, customer experience, opportunities, and strategies to achieve sales growth while minimizing customer friction.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver short- and long-term tactics that elevate the end-to-end customer experience across all E-Commerce stores.
  • Oversee UX/UI and web development strategies, implementing innovative designs, features, and optimizations to continuously improve user experience, engagement, and conversion rates.
  • Manage the onboarding of third-party human resources involved in e-commerce projects.
  • Develop and own omni-channel analyses for measuring and enhancing the customer journey based on specic channels and audiences.
  • Utilize insights from cross-functional teams and site performance data to improve the overall customer experience.
  • Build a close partnership with Marketing and Creative teams to ensure alignment with the brand's go-to-market strategy and messaging approach.
  • Manage the work of external agencies for E-Commerce projects.

Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop the e-commerce team, setting clear performance goals and KPIs, while fostering a collaborative team culture.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance and support, ensuring team members understand their roles and objectives.
  • Facilitate regular check-ins, performance reviews, and training sessions to maintain high performance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in e-commerce management, with a proven track record of growing online sales for DTC brands.
  • Deep understanding of the DTC business model, including how to build and optimize customer experiences that drive conversions and loyalty.
  • Strong knowledge of e-commerce platforms and analytics tools. Experience with Shopify and Google Analytics is required.
  • Must be able to commute to our office in Gardena, California. This role requires working on-site Monday through Friday for the first 6 months, with a transition to a hybrid schedule thereafter.

Preferred but not required:

  • MTA, heat maps, A/B testing tools, CX platforms, SMS, and Email Marketing tools.
  • Experience working with designers and developers to optimize user experiences (UX) and customer journeys through A/B testing, funnel analysis, and personalization to improve site performance.
  • 3+ years of people management experience leading e-commerce teams.
