Camera Customer Relations Representative I

About the Role

Canon USA is seeking a Camera Customer Relations Representative I (Representative, Cust Rel I) to work out of our Costa Mesa, CA factory service center. The Camera Customer Relations Representative I will be proactive and responsible for repair estimation data entry with some minimal reporting into an Excel spreadsheet. The estimation activity is required to be performed at the front counter face-to-face with our customers. Communication is also required to be made via telephone when necessary to verify or update an estimate.   Benefits start on day one including medical, dental & vision. 40 Hour Work Week, Monday to Friday 7:30 am to 4:30 pm   This position requires full-time presence at your assigned office(s)/worksite(s)/territory.

Your Impact

- Create repair estimates, process, and arrange for shipping of completed repairs via USPS and FedEx - Provide telephone assistance to internal and external customers relative to repairs and repair status inquiries, equipment operation or problems, and complaints on all consumer and professional products (still photographic and video) - Process repair orders, input data into database for repair issues - Tend to Canon Professional Service members in the Customer Experience Center at the service counter and CPS Lounge - Deliver completed repairs to customers picking them up from our walk-in service facility - Investigate escalations, inquiries/complaints and respond/resolve accordingly - Provide front counter support for the Burbank Professional Technology and Support Center as required - Provide shipping and receiving support in the warehouse - Provide assistance with parts inventory and parts delivery to technicians - Transfer approved product to technician area for repair

About You: The Skills & Expertise You Bring

- Typically requires General Education or vocational training plus min. 3 - 12 months of customer service and/or retail experience - Excellent organizational, analytical and clear written and verbal communication skills - Basic to intermediate experience with digital photographic equipment and associated processes desirable - Experience with camera, photography and/or cinematography is preferable - The applicant must demonstrate the ability to work well with a team and manage multiple assignments in a fast paced environment - Knowledge in software applications associated with photography is a plus - Basic to intermediate knowledge of the Windows environment, MS Word and Excel - Must be able to lift between 30 to 40 pounds   We are providing the anticipated rate for this role: $17.20 - $21.15 hourly
