The UI Designer will be responsible for designing user-friendly and visually appealing interface elements and will work closely with product managers and engineers to understand and translate user requirements into functional and beautiful UI elements. This role demands expertise in design systems, responsive web design, and user research, as well as experience with a variety of design tools and methodologies.Key ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with product managers and engineers to gather and evaluate user requirements.Conduct and apply insights from various types of user research to enhance design functionality and user experience.Illustrate design ideas through storyboards, process flows, and sitemaps.Design graphic interface elements such as menus, tabs, widgets, navigation buttons, and search fields.Develop UI mockups and prototypes that effectively demonstrate the look and functionality of the interface.Implement and maintain design systems, ensuring consistency across UI components.Define and refine information architecture and interaction design to create intuitive user flows and layouts.Use heuristic evaluation to identify and address usability issues.Create visually cohesive designs that align with our brand’s strategy, incorporating iconography and visual communication elements that reinforce the brand identity.Leverage analytics and design strategy to inform design decisions and drive engagement.Work within an Agile framework to deliver design assets, incorporating feedback quickly and iterating designs for continuous improvement.Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the development process to ensure seamless integration of UI elements.Experience & QualificationsDomain Expertise: Experience in the fintech domain and responsive web design (RWD).Design Skills: Advanced expertise in analytics/design strategy, information architecture, interaction design, heuristic evaluation, visual communication, brand strategy, iconography, and storyboarding.Tools Proficiency: Strong knowledge of Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop, Sketch, Axure, and Figma.Education & Certification: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Design, BFA, or equivalent.
